Landen dreamed of a world where every nonspeaking person would have the chance to find their voice through spelling.
He believed that with support, understanding, and courage, future spellers would not only be heard but celebrated. His hope was that no one would ever feel alone in their fight to be understood—and that together, we would build a future where communication belongs to everyone.
Spelling to Communicate
Spelling to Communicate (S2C) is a method of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) that teaches individuals who are nonspeaking, minimally speaking, or unreliably speaking to point to letters to spell out their thoughts.

Speller Access Fund
We understand that there are considerable financial obstacles for families these days, and we don’t want finances to be a barrier to accessing communication. So we actively raise funds to help new spellers who need financial assistance to afford S2C sessions with a Certified S2C Practitioner. I-ASC’s S2C Speller Access Fund provides qualifying individuals with the following:
• Set of stencil letterboards
• Two workbooks
• Five sessions with a Certified S2C Practitioner
